True Course, a 100 case boutique production of Boswell’s best-of-the-best barrels, is 100% unfiltered and French Oak with indigenous wild yeast then aged for 19 months. The result is a powerhouse effort that combines the age-ability of the finest “grand cru” Burgundy with the full throttle Russian River fruit serious collectors adore. ULTRA rich and creamy on the palate, this Chardonnay offers notes of citrus intertwined with vanilla, minerals, lemon oil, and honeysuckle as well as great delineation for its massive size. Both viscous and succulent, a symphony of ripe tropical fruit flavors with a hint of grilled Hawaiian pineapple and macadamia nuts come alive on the impressive finish (lasts a full minute). This wine will age for at least 5 years, peaking in 2015 most likely. That said, pop the cork on a bottle now and enjoy after decanting (seriously!) for a ½ hour! 98 points now and a contender for Chardonnay perfection.

Produced by Chateau Boswell.
A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot, this wine has aromas of cassis, new leather and mocha. Dense, creamy-sweet and juicy, with excellent concentration to its luscious flavors of dark berries and semi-sweet chocolate. This grand creation features ultra luscious fruit flavors deftly melded together with plush tannins that bode well for long term cellaring (if you can wait). Enjoy tonight, after decanting an hour, or anytime over the next 7 – 10 years, peaking around 2014. Hurry because I plan to stock a few bottles in my personal cellar! 95 points
CHATEAU BOSWELL “ESTATE RESERVE” Cabernet, 2005 = 96 points!!!
Insider Scoop: We poured this gem at a serious wine collector tasting event on 9/13 and it was the overwhelming crowd favorite. We opened the bottle about 3 hours prior to sampling and then decanted it for almost an hour. We sampled a few $$$ Cabernets prior to this Boswell Estate and when we sampled this nectar everyone in the room was stunned by the noticeably superior quality. The #1 collector in the room was stunned when we informed him that this wine sells for under $100 because he thought it would be a $300+ “cult” wine!
We recently named this wine our #1 “most likely to succeed” as a boutique wine (only 4 barrels produced!) that will increase in value in the coming years. ‘Rock star’ winemaker Luc Morlet (formerly Peter Michael Les Pavot – $325, 97 points) joined the team in time to craft this vintage and will meet with Robert Parker in October to sample. Parker has consistently rated winemaker Morlet’s Cabernets 95 – 100 points.
