The 2007 Isosceles is a Bordeaux-style Cabernet blend (includes approximately 10% Cabernet Franc and Merlot for added structure and complexity) but the bold and ripe fruit flavors are 100% California, featuring superb richness, structure, depth and a sensuous texture that has us begging for more! Starting with elegant layers of blackberry, cherry, cassis and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg with delightful tones of vanilla extract and lightly toasted oak on the sultry finish. This is a truly voluptuous wine with a velvetty smooth texture combined with plush tannins that are prominent now and bode well for a remarkable experience over the next 7 – 10 years, peaking around 2014 in our estimate…..or pair this delicious new creation with a juicy steak tonight (after decanting at least one hour) and then save a few bottles for your cellar.
